Alister McGrath has written or edited a number of books aimed at a wider audience. Three recent examples include:
C. S. Lewis – A Life. Eccentric Genius, Reluctant Prophet. Wheaton, IL: Tyndale, 2013. The British edition was published by Hodder & Stoughton, London.
J. I. Packer: His Life and Thought. London: Hodder & Stoughton, 2020. This short book sets out a highly accessible and informed account of J. I. Packer’s life and thought, focussing on his highly influential bestseller Knowing God (1973), and Packer’s remarkable career at Regent College Vancouver.
Coming to Faith through Dawkins: 12 Essays on the Pathway from New Atheism to Christianity. Edited by Denis Alexander and Alister McGrath. Grand Rapids, MI: Kregel, 2023. A remarkable collection of 12 essays by individuals who were initially drawn to Richard Dawkins’s book The God Delusion (2006), but found themselves disillusioned and disappointed by its over-reach, arrogance and faulty argumentation.
